Did you know that in 2018 WISP updated packages to increase our speeds and improve our offerings to our clients? As part of these changes, our prices increased slightly for the first time in nearly a decade.
This month WISP did away with our legacy Internet packages for those clients who signed up before last quarter 2018. Back in September 2018, WISP changed our package speeds and prices for the first time in nearly a decade. These changes originally impacted only new clients signing up after that date, with all existing clients being grandfathered on the original packages.
This grace period was intended to end in the summer of last year but for a variety of reasons this was not practical and the period was extended until February of 2020. On your last monthly invoice, you should have seen a note mentioning that WISP is officially doing away with our old Legacy plans effective February 2020, and as such all of our legacy clients will see a change on their next bill.
If you’re a Direct Withdrawal client, you are required to provide WISP with a completed PAD form authorizing us to debit your account monthly for a specified amount. Given the changes in pricing, WISP will now require a new PAD form to charge you for your new monthly bill. Until this can be obtained, your monthly billing will continue at the old rate, and the difference will remain outstanding on your bill.
Please understand that your old package/pricing is no longer available. Your choices are to either remain on your existing package with the corresponding upgrades in speed and price or change your service package to a different package of your choice. To expedite the billing changes we request that you provide written permission for WISP to bill your account for your new package rate, and then mail in your completed PAD form at your convenience.
